02-Aug-2012. Land Tug picked up the boat today and moved it to Collins Bay Marina in Kingston. We had hoped to follow behind the boat on the highway and get a video, but the driver was in a hurry and left before Phill and I could get out of Ottawa. I was driving the disintegrating Golf, and only caught up to the truck at the Division Street exit in Kingston. I didn’t have the camera with me, so no video of the actual transport. All the pictures in this post were taken at Collins Bay Marina.

We subscribed to your blog for updates. Hope everything is going smoothly as planned. Another blog you may be interested in reading is Cherry & Doug’s. They sailed down the coast last year: http://www.sailblogs.com/member/momma/

Hi Meryl and Phil
Patricia sent me your link and I plan on keeping an eye on you on your travels. I met Phil the other day at the club my partner is Doug Patterson and we went south last winter and plan on leaving again in December. Our boat is in Jacksonville right now and will be going back to the Bahamas and heading to the Turks so hopefully we may meet up somewhere along the way. Good luck with your trip and have lots of fun Living the Dream as we are. Cherry
Hey Maryl, I will be following your route with great interest. If you are passing by Nicolet or Trois-Rivières on the Quebec side and want some encouragements or if you need a snack before reaching the ocean, I can pay you a visit!
Thanks Dominick…we’re taking the New York State Canal system to the Hudson River (rather than going via the St Lawrence). Maybe this time next year we’ll be passing near Nicolet or Trois-Rivières…
Hi Maryl,
Chin up, once you get going you’ll forget all about this little hic-up. Look forward to read more about your adventure. All the best
Bob
Hi Maryl & Phil,
Sorry I didn’t get to see you again before you left. Have a wonderful and safe trip. I’ll be checking for updates 🙂
