It was a somber morning on the Hudson River, as it might have been in the rest of this lovely country, I imagine. We passed a ceremony commemorating 9/11 on the western shore at about 10am. We weren’t too sure what we should do, so we slowed down and tried to pass as quietly as possible.
Hard to go on and on about our fabulous adventure in the same post, so I think I’ll sign off and get back to you later.
Think it was a general 9/11 tribute as that looks like 3 soldiers to the right of the flag (beige camouflage)
I think you’re right, Matthew. I think we thought it was firefighters because there were a few fire dept. boats out in the water with us…
