Had to squeeze in one more post for two kids who love dolphins. We just now (9:20 am) saw our first pod(?) of dolphins in our wake. Cal, you’ll have to clarify the term for “group of dolphins” for me…it looked there were about four of them and they seemed to playing or maybe eating.
Especially for Callum & Marlee

Hi Meryl & Phill: Just so you know, Jack & Donna are now in NY. I sent them a note about you guys just leaving. Their blog is http://www.sailblogs.com/member/kathrian/ It would be interesting if you met up. We’ve been enjoying your blog and all the pics. Sail safe and take care, Patricia & David
Thanks so much, Pat & David. We’ll keep an eye and an ear out for Jack & Donna. We’re in Cape May, NJ now, and hope to head up the Delaware Bay and through the C&D Canal tomorrow. Then we’ll take our time in the Chesapeake…Phill wants to do some crabbin’!
Pod of dolphins is the term, the question is Are they dolphins or porpoise??????????
What are you using for internet while offshore, I had a Bell rocket stick which worked very well.
Hi Cherry,
After looking up the difference, I think they were porpoises! Thanks for pointing that out – we’d probably be misidentifying them all the way down the coast.
In the end (and we didn’t do a lot of shopping around to be honest – neither of us has the patience) we got an AT&T USBConnect Force 4G stick. We can get pay-as-you-go data plans (no contract required). It works great – we haven’t had a problem yet…it was a pain to get it set up, but that might just be us.
