Chub Cay to Rose Island, Bahamas

We’re not far from Nassau, so I thought I’d take advantage of the signal and show you a few pictures from our passage from Chub Cay to Rose Island.

We had no problems leaving the marina, and enjoyed the sunrise as we got the sails up.

Phill had the fishing rod setup the whole way, but didn’t get a nibble. We eavesdropped on the VHF conversations of some other boats, and it sounded like a couple of older ladies had caught a bluefin tuna and a couple of dolphin fish (mahi-mahi/durado). Phill was tempted to barge into their conversation and ask what their secret was.

We had a really nice, relaxing motor-sail, and were anchored and settled by 2:30 pm. We snorkelled around for about an hour, and are getting ready to call it a day.

Hope the weather isn’t too cold back home…
