Knocked back a few shit tinnies

The flight was really, really long but otherwise good. There were no delays, everything went smoothly. It was just really, really long. My bum was sore and I couldn’t seem to find a comfortable position when I found out we still had 8 hours to go. Silly me for checking.

We were both pretty tired after checking into the airbnb, but we wanted to stay up until dark, at least. So after walking around our new neighbourhood, Surrey Hills, for a while, it was time to get something to eat. We found an underground pub, called The Shady Pines, where we “knocked back a few shit tinnies” which as you may have guessed means “drank a few beers”. Or possibly “drank a few cheap beers”. Not 100% sure.

Sorry the images in this post are sideways, I’m doing this from my phone and am too impatient to fix.

The Shady Pines is known for its taxidermy displays.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Shady Pines had some rock star guest female bartenders mixing feature cocktails.

We were in bed, fast asleep, by 8:30 local time.

It was raining this morning, but the skies have cleared. Off to do some sightseeing.
