Here’s some more of what we saw on March 9th. We stopped at the Sydney Observatory…
Then saw the Opera House, which I showed you in the previous post. This is the view of the Royal Botanical Garden from near the Opera House.
The trees in the garden are pretty impressive.
This 100 year old tree/bush was blown over by high winds…
There are loads of statues throughout…
And many like these that I imagine look quite ghostly on the night tours of the garden.
Including ones representing the four seasons…
I got a few shots of some birds, too. The flying birds are Cockatoos (they make a huge racket), and the last one might be a kookaburra!
And how ’bout this koala!
We had been walking for hours by the time we left the Botanical Garden and were getting pretty tired so we didn’t do much more sight seeing on the stroll home.
Hyde Park is pretty beautiful. It was here that we saw some HUGE bats, but I didn’t manage to get a picture of them. I honestly didn’t know that bats came that big ;).
On our second full day in Sydney, we took a train ride to Cabramatta, which we’ll show ya in the next post.
Merci for sharing your journey!
